So 24th arrived and we were off to Mofam. On the water by 630.

It was partly cloudy and freezing. Max temp for the day was only 17. Water only reached 17. There wasn’t much wind but every few minutes a very cold breeze would force us to put our jackets back on.

We caught fish regularly with a very lean patch between about 11 and 2pm with not even a bite. Then suddenly we had a double up!

We boated 20 fish for the day and about 15 of them were between 1.2kg and 1.5kgs.

Highlight of the day was a very nice fish of 2.8kg I caught on a wacky rig at about 830am. Very soft tap, set the hook and said to Rob this feels like a good fish. Fish gave me a good rev, surfaced a few times which gave me anxious moments as this is when you lose them, but fortunately managed to land her.

2.8kg Largemouth Bass

Overall it was tougher than we thought it would be but a very lekker day at mofam as usual.
